Young girl ghost and strange scratches.

A few years ago, possibly six or seven, I was hearing footsteps on the rooftop. First I thought it was the sound of squirrels or rats or raccoons climbing on the roof, but I realized it sounded more like the footsteps of a small person or a child and this would happen late at night usually after midnight and that would happen at all times of the year even in the dead of winter when it’s 30 below zero outside.

I thought it could be the neighbors so I asked them if they had been on the rooftop walking around for some reason, of course they said no. I had no way to explain what was happening but it would happen on a regular basis. I was the only one to hear them, but I know for sure that it wasn’t a dream because I’ll be awake every time I heard it.

Then one afternoon at about 3 PM I was lying in bed with my eyes closed but I was awake and suddenly I hear the front door open.

I hear the door latch open.

I hear the clicks of lock and the creak of the door as it opens and closes. And then heard footsteps the creaking of the wood floors down the hallway. I figured it was my mother coming home so I didn’t think anything of it. Suddenly my door opens in my bedroom and I see this image of a young girl very clearly but yet I could see through her. She had long dark curly hair, was about seven years old, she was wearing a red dress.

I pinch myself to make sure I was awake and yes I was awake for about three seconds I saw the image. I close my eyes, open them again for a second, reopen them, and the image was gone.

It didn’t scare me or freak me out I was more puzzled and I questioned if I was really awake or was I dreaming, but I thought why would I be dreaming about this? Why would I be seeing this? It didn’t make sense. I was sure. I have no explanation for what happened.

Another strange experience.

If years later in a different apartment I had another strange experience.  One night I felt this burning sensation on my leg, it was morning time maybe around 6 AM and I was just waking up.

I didn’t know what it was so I checked my leg and on my leg were scratches, very strange scratches, they are on the inside on my right leg, my ankle. There was a shape of an eye and ask (?) next to it and two lines underneath almost like Roman numerals. I thought, how can I scratch myself in that strange pattern while I’m sleeping? There was no way it happened during the day since I was wearing jeans and boots so even if I had walked through the shrubs or found a way to scratch myself accidentally, there’s no way it would penetrate through my jeans and my leather boots that went up above my ankles. So again this time it was more disturbing, but I did not freak out. I was more curious as to how this could happen and kept thinking how on earth was that’s possible?

Now recently and in my new apartment I’ve been hearing different noises like the sound of the piano playing except it’s just to know it’s playing off key and it happens all times of the day every day. It’s so strange. No one else hears them upstairs or downstairs just in our apartment. At least my mother hears it, but there’s no logical explanation. It actually sounds like a live piano not a recording. It’s not an alarm. It just doesn’t make sense. Why in earth would it be the same to know it’s played off key constantly? It’s very puzzling and it’s not Friday and just more perplexing. Anyone else have any experiences like that please let me know.

Phantom smells, lights, talking and toys.

I often feel that I am “sensitive” because I feel and have seen various things throughout my life that compel me to believe so. I see shadow people, can sense activity inside and outside my home.

More recently, things I’ve had occur have begun reoccurring:

  • A smell of sweet perfume or of my ex-husband’s cologne (still very alive and well).
  • Lights dim and go back to normal
  • I hear people talking as well as babies and kids whining.
  • My children’s toys that normally function properly will start blaring through the night. Different toy each time.

I’m very aware there’s a communication that needs to take place. I’m just confused on whom to consult.

I want to know who, what, when, where and why anyone, spirit or daemon in trying to inhabit my space. Any info or suggestions? I’m a very religious and devout person so I don’t want to make any wrong steps but believe the interactions are supposed to take place. Please help.

“Scent of vanilla filled my room.” A story of miscarriage.

I had been experiencing weird symptoms and suspected something was going on. In December, 2015 I went to the Ob/Gyn and discovered that I was 10 weeks and 5 days pregnant (according to the ultrasound). I seen the little baby on the screen and the tiny heartbeat flickering. I was elated.

My excitement was soon replaced with fear in the upcoming weeks when I started experiencing symptoms.

In January, 2016 I suffered a miscarriage. I was devastated because I was 13 weeks along, past the “safe zone” of 12 weeks/3 months pregnant. I didn’t feel like eating or doing anything other than crying and sleeping. I couldn’t even function enough to go to work and took a week off. I felt so depressed and alone.

One night I was feeling very low when all of a sudden the overwhelming scent of vanilla filled my room. I felt this warm, comforting presence there. I don’t know why, but suddenly I didn’t feel like crying anymore. I thought that I was going nuts. This vanilla scent and presence has since returned again, on the day when that baby was supposed to be born and I was feeling low, thinking about the loss. It is here again now, while I am battling a wicked case of influenza. Something about it is calming and makes me feel like someone is here and cares. All I can figure is that it must be an angel or some other type of spiritual being.

“I feel his hair. I feel his skin. I wake up crying.”

I am 19 and I had this dream that I can’t seem to get over, it has stayed with me. When I dream, I don’t remember or if I do, it is always about a situation that is happening in my life and I always recognize the people and see them very clearly, but it never feels real, it’s almost like a daze.

This dream felt so realistic to me. I was in my mid-twenties. All around me were houses, sort of hut-like and close together on both sides and only divided by a dirt path, but most were set on fire and there were people leaving these houses with their belongings and loved ones, but in the dream I was not.

I walked passed a man who was leaving his home and once he had ran off it was now mine, but I wasn’t alone. There was a white man there, also in his mid-twenties. I knew he was not meant to be there with me but our eyes met. All I did was giggle. The whole time he was speaking in a whisper so low I couldn’t understand, and in that moment, it was just me and him in a bright white room and he sat and we were in an almost intimate hug. I could not see his face because it was in my neck and I could hear his whisper, it had a slight accent but I couldn’t understand.

I played with his hair and I could really feel his hair between my hands and the heat of his soft skin. Once he stopped whispering and pulled back to look me in the eyes, I woke up with this sadness and it’s stayed and I have flashes in my sleep of his face looking up at me and wake up crying. Someone please help.

My similar experience of feeling hair between my fingers was so real it startled me, too, and the sensation and the details remain with me even though years have passed. I wrote about and included my dream in my paranormal thriller Premonition of Terror, where the reader is introduced to the protagonist, reluctant psychic Kate Kasabian who believes her runaway lover has returned.

Her hand traced his shoulder and slid up the back of his neck. Her fingers combed through his hair with gentle strokes like so many times before.

The bedroom was too quiet. No fabric rustled with her movements. No psychic voices played in her head.

No lover sighed at her touch.

Her eyes shot open. …

Phantom smells at 3am

This Saturday my grandma stayed with us and slept in my room, I slept in my sister’s room. While in bed in my sister’s room I smelled my grandma’s perfume and I got the chills instantly.

Later came another smell, it was my grandma’s hair lacquer spray. Then I smelled food I don’t remember what food it was though. I believe all those smells occurred between 2am and 4am, cuz I didn’t look at the clock, but I didn’t had more smells when the sun came up, and I finally could sleep well.

So now it’s Monday and I had smells last night (Sunday), too. It was toilet paper. I looked at the clock and it was 2:30am. I turned on the light for a moment and went back to sleep. I had no more smells. I believe turning the light on helped. I really believe a spirit or whatever it’s called is messin’ with me. I hope this helps for someone. Just turn the light on, maybe it goes away.

Ghost dog Molly and unknown ghost boy.

My border collie Molly had to be put down about 2 weeks ago due to a terrible cancer. We were so bonded. I loved her beyond words.

I haven’t seen or heard her ghost but I’m expecting some sign and here’s why: I live in a very very old house and we do have a ghost—a little boy about 6 or 7 years old. I saw him twice coming up the front sidewalk, shortly after we moved in, and then he’d just disappear.

My mother came to see my new house and she saw the little ghost too; he was sitting on the landing of the stairs leading up to the bedroom, watching us downstairs. That was about 40 years ago and nothing since so I thought the boy was gone, but he’s still here.

My plumber recently was kneeling on the floor, working on an upstairs bathroom pipe and he loves this old house so I was telling him about it, including the ghost story. That’s when we both heard a bell ringing twice downstairs and the plumber looked at me puzzled and asked, “Did you hear that?” Yes, and we both knew there was no one else in the house. I went to the windows and looked out but of course there was no one on the road, no one ringing a bell. The little boy had been listening to me telling about seeing him and he was letting us know that he was listening.

I didn’t even remember just then that there even was a bell downstairs but there is; it sits on a windowsill in the sunroom and only is noticed when I dust. So now I hope the little boy appears once more and that my dog Molly is sitting or standing beside him.

The only thing that worries me is that Molly was put down at a vet center an hour from here. I left her to be cremated.

Could her spirit have followed me and my son and my sister (who were there to say goodbye) back to our car and back here to her home?

I hope she isn’t lost and looking for us at the hospital. I talk to her every night when I go to bed. I want her to know that she is loved and missed. Maybe with her company now the little boy will be able to find peace, too.

— Nancy, Pennsylvania

Thanks for your story, Nancy. I believe spirits are not bound by limitations of the physical world. That Molly was put down at the vet’s makes no difference. Molly would find her way home, or to your spirit energy no matter where. That’s my opinion.

Ghost cat? The “tak tak tak” of kitty paws…

I was lying in bed reading and it was around 11:30pm. I have only lived in this house just over one year. I very distinctly hear the “tak tak tak” of kitty paws coming down the hall outside my bedroom. I immediately thought my cat Geekers was coming up to bed like he usually does.

I got up to look but he was already asleep at the end of my bed. He raised his head at the same time, suddenly wide awake, and jumped from the bed to the dresser. He looked up at the ceiling like he was following something with his head and then he stared intently at the bedroom doorway for a couple of minutes before slowly going out into the hallway like he could see something out there.

I watched him from my bed trying to decide what to do. I was home alone and was concerned about what might be out in the hallway that could make that loud of a noise. I finally got out of bed to look down the short hallway but could see nothing there but Geekers still staring intently down to the end of the hall like there was something there.

Phantom smell of men’s cologne.

No men enter or live in my house, but for some reason, my blouse smells like men’s cologne.

Wonderful fragrance of perfume. The strong smell of flowers.

Last night I was in bed and just about to settle in to sleep. I had just watched a movie. I don’t think the movie matters but I will mention it. I watched “Rock Star.” So, I was laying in bed and the most wonderful fragrance of perfume came over me. The strong smell of flowers. I was smelling the air, the comforter, the sheets. It was a great smell. I thought, wow—this is so nice but what does this mean? I didn’t feel afraid or unhappy at the time just that I liked the smell. I fell asleep.

So, today I had a dentist appointment at 7:30am. The dental hygienist who I’ve never met sat next to me to work on my teeth. She had the fragrance on. I thought to myself this is crazy, she smells just like the wonderful smell I smelled last night. I wasn’t going to mention this but I just had to. I asked her, “What are you wearing?” She replied, oh is it bothering you? I never put on fragrances in the event of clients being allergic.

Then I told her about last night. I told her I didn’t want her to think I was a nut, but I’ve never had this kind of experience happen to me before. Again, I want to mention that I have never met her before and that she is new to my dentist office. We’ve never crossed paths!

Final note: I don’t have anxiety going to my dentist. So, going to the dentist is not a factor in this situation. What do you think?
