Her Spirit Visits Old Friends

Her Spirit Visits Old Friends

Bobbie and I had not been lifelong friends, but in her late years our paths connected through common interests: world travel and a local writer’s group. She passed more than ten years ago. I attended her memorial where her adult children gifted each visitor a paperback book Bobbie had written that included photographs from her life. I hadn’t seen the book in years.

This month while sorting and purging paperwork, I came across Bobbie’s book, a small book, seventy pages. I read a few stories and missed her all over again. I felt her spirit near.

I was telling a friend from the same writer’s group about finding and reading Bobbie’s book. The friend had recently moved to a new home and had been unpacking boxes to fill her bookcase. She, too, had come upon Bobbie’s book—the same day.

I believe that after ten years, that we both had connected with Bobbie in the same way, on the same day, is beyond coincidence. I believe her spirit was visiting two old friends to say hello, I’m still here.

Spirit Presence of Loved Ones Passed

The Spirit Presence of Loved Ones Passed

Loved ones passed: A few years back when I would shut the lights out with only my TV on I could feel a presence watching me. My hairs on my arms would stick up and my heart would start beating fast. This went on for about two years. I never saw anything. To this day I can feel a presence from time to time.

Sometimes I feel like someone touches me or sits next to me when my back is turned. I also hear my name from time to time, too. Could it be love ones passed checking up on me?

I believe the spirits of loved ones passed make their presence known. I’ve had the same experience, often accompanied by the smell of flowers, pipe tobacco, or cologne. — Kat
