Phantom Sounds of Footsteps and Whistling. Dad’s Spirit.

Phantom Sounds of Footsteps and Whistling

I awoke to a whistle at my ear. I immediately sat up on my couch and could hear what I thought were footsteps from the living room into the kitchen. I felt something … it wasn’t a dream. I sat in complete darkness and reached over to find my cell phone for some light. My heart was beating I think faster then it ever had before. I tried to rationalize the situation. It was so clear… the sound of the whistling. I couldn’t fall asleep without the light on for the rest of the night.

My Dad’s Spirit

In the morning I was in my kitchen and on my island counter were framed pictures that I had taken out of storage boxes the day before to clean up and put out. One photo was of my dad who passed away back in 2001 of cancer. I had cut out of a newspaper his obituary and framed it along with his picture and a poem. I hadn’t looked at the picture in years. Was this just a dream or could it have been him?

Thanks for your story, Carla. In my opinion you were visited by your dad’s spirit. Maybe that you took pictures out of storage to hang signaled the “other side” that you were open to contact. — Kat

Ghost dad’s bacon smell

Since my father passed away both my mother and myself have smelled bacon from time to time. We have experienced this in both our home (without cooking bacon) and outside in outdoor atmospheres. Also I have experience this with my son in unison along a hiking trail, and always we experience this with others where the smell is inexplicable. My dad used to love bacon and would often cook fried bread in bacon for years after “The War.” When we smell this we smile and know he is around. Sounds like “Crazy Town,” but we kinda think it’s real.

Phantom smell of flowers or potpourri

(February 15) as I walk in for work at 6:45am I smell flowers or potpourri all day at work. I thought maybe my part-time cleaned or something, so I went home and lay down on the bed for a nap before softball practice with my daughters and I told my husband I smell flowers again. I didn’t know until I posted (about smelling things) on Facebook, when a friend said it’s my dad around me.

My dad passed away Nov. 30. My grandma passed away Jan. 28

Crazy cause after church Sunday on valentines we are going to eat with my husband and he changes the radio station and my favorite song Luther Vandross “Dance With My Father” came on and I just started to cry so my husband says, “Do you want me to change the station?” I told him no!!
